Our Team at Kool Kidz Nursery

At Kool Kidz Nursery we pride ourselves on having a consistent staff team which is made up of highly qualified dedicated professionals. They ensure our nursery provides the highest standards of childcare and early education in a safe and stimulating environment, where children can take part in a range of learning opportunities and experiences to enable them to learn and grow.

Our staff team are dedicated to their own professional development and attend regular training to further develop their skills and knowledge of the profession. All our staff team are PVG checked and registered with the Scottish Social Services council.

Our full staff team have completed Paediatric First Aid training which complies with the Health & Safety (first aid) regulations 1981.

Chyrsten Downie
Nursery Manager

Chyrsten joined Kool Kidz nursery in 2017 as an Early Years Practitioner moving to deputy in 2019 and then manager in 2022. Chyrsten has worked in private nurseries for 8 years and has experience working with all age groups. She has previously volunteered for a charity supporting children with ASN. She currently holds her BA in Childhood Practice from Glasgow University graduating in 2023. Chyrsten manages the nursery and leads the staff team to ensure a secure, safe and nurturing environment for all children allowing parents to feel relaxed and confident with the knowledge that their child is receiving high quality care and early education.
